Getting Started
(WIP)
Step 1: Understand the Blog Editor
The WordPress Blog editor is highly advanced, but easy to use once you get familiar with the features. Make sure to access the Blogs Page and click “Add Blog”. You will be directed to the Blog Editor that should look like this:
You will notice on the left side you have the option to add your own title to make your blog post unique. A section below it to add different blocks to add images or begin writing your blog post. On the right side, you will see the blog settings. If you do not see the blog settings, click on the setting icon which should look like this:
You can click on the blog setting icon to close the settings at any time if it distracts you from writing your blog. The following is the full options of the Blog Settings so you can understand the purpose of each based on the number assigned which should look like this:
(1) Status & Visibility: This section is the most important with publishing your blog. You have the option to set your blog to be public (highly recommended), private (no point using this), password protected (if you only want certain users to have access to this). You are given the option to schedule when you want your blog live! You may publish immediately (default) or you can decide which date and exact time! Always keep your post set to standard and never check “pending review”.
(2) Categories: This section you must decide which your blog relates to. Never check ADM announcements (admin use only). You may lose Blog Points or get blocked from the site.
(3) Tags: This section you can treat this like hashtags whenever users want to search the site for blogs.
(4) Featured Image: This option allows you to add an image to be displayed on the blog page and on top of your actual blog post.
(5) Excerpt: This section is basically the option to write a short summary for users to understand what your blog is about.
(6) Discussion: This provides the option to close comments on your blog. We highly recommend you keep this open.
(7) Post Attributes: Please do not change this setting.
Use Ctrl + f to search for the Mini game name for the help information. Due to the nature of being a community of Group Games, you must screenshot your score to your game host directly. There is no save option. Make sure to select YES on “Group Challenge?”. This will allow the option to input your username, the date (TVGS time), and time to prevent cheating and reusing scores.
Math Survival Help
The Game has 4 basic elements
- Health
- Food
- Crates
- Time
- Screenshot (for group games)
Health
Your health is the most crucial element of the mini-game. Once your health reaches 0. You will faint and the challenge is over. You can screenshot your score to your host if you are happy, but you can retry if you faint too early. You must search for food when your health gets too low.
Food
The production team provided apple crates in the grassy fields for you to consume. Each crate increases your health by +25. Too not overeat at once because you can waste food if you are below 75 health. A general rule is to eat a couple crates when your health is below 40.
Crates
Crates contain math problems for you to answer. There are over 80 crates! You will not answer them all! Just a general rule, each digit rewards 1 point. You may want to answer bigger numbers which you can double or triple your score! However, every time you answer a crate wrong you will lose 1 point. Constant guessing may hurt your score. Once you answer correctly, you will hear the audience clapping from their TV and the crates will disappear. Some crates are used to block an essential path!
Time
You are given only 5 minutes (300 seconds). Every 1.5 seconds you are rewarded 1 points for survival effort. If you manage to survive the entire time. You will get up to +200 bonus to your score!
